Cummins diesel or Hemi gas — we know what Ram trucks demand on Southern Utah roads.
Ram HD owners in Southern Utah tow heavy, work hard, and wheel often. We follow Ram-recommended intervals adjusted for Washington County heat, grade, and dust — because the factory schedule assumes a milder world than we drive in.
Full-synthetic oil & filter change (Cummins takes 12 quarts of 15W-40 diesel oil), tire rotation, and multi-point inspection. Southern Utah heat and dust pull us to the shorter side, especially on tow rigs and work trucks.
Cummins fuel filter service (two-stage — primary chassis-mounted and secondary engine-mounted), transfer case fluid inspection on 4WD, engine air filter, and cabin filter.
Transmission fluid & filter (68RFE or Aisin AS69RC), spark plugs on 6.4L Hemi, brake fluid flush, and differential fluid front and rear.
Major service — front axle service, all driveline fluids replaced, cooling system inspection, and comprehensive drivetrain health check with a photo-documented digital report.
The 6.7 Cummins runs a chassis-mounted primary and an engine-mounted secondary. Both replaced every 15,000 miles — sooner with off-brand diesel or heavy off-road exposure.
DEF quality and level checked at every service. Contaminated DEF triggers derate and expensive sensor failures on 2013+ trucks.
Most 6.7 Cummins ran the robust CP3. Some later model years shifted to CP4 — we know which VINs are which and inspect accordingly.
EGR cooler condition, DPF regen behavior, and turbo actuator function — the top three Cummins drivability items we diagnose.
High-pressure fuel pump wear on high-mileage Cummins engines. We monitor rail pressure and inspect for early symptoms — hard starts, power loss, and metal in the filter.
68RFE transmissions in heavy tow service benefit from more frequent fluid service and thermal monitoring. Aisin AS69RC is more durable but still needs scheduled service.
Ball joints, unit bearings, and steering box wear from heavy loads and off-road use. Inspected at every service.
Ram HD trucks have known steering geometry wear points. Death wobble is a symptom — we hunt the root cause.

Ram's spec is up to 15,000 miles under ideal conditions, but in Southern Utah — with heat, dust, towing, and idle time — we recommend 5,000 to 7,500 miles on 15W-40 diesel-rated oil. The 6.7 Cummins takes about 12 quarts, so quality oil matters. Idle-heavy work trucks and heavy tow rigs should stay on the shorter side of that window.
Yes — especially on trucks that tow. Ram lists a lifetime fill, but in towing and heat-heavy use the 68RFE benefits significantly from fluid and filter service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Neglected 68RFEs fail early and expensively. Aisin AS69RC is more durable but still needs scheduled fluid service to reach full life.
Yes — including full oil service, transmission, front axle, brake service, and diagnostics. Dually rear-wheel service (torque, brake, and bearing) is part of our standard 3500 workflow. We have the lift capacity and tools for full HD truck service.
