Off-road capability isn't one brand. We build, align, and maintain 4x4s of every kind — Jeep, Bronco, lifted trucks, and off-road SUVs (4Runner, Land Cruiser, Grand Cherokee, and more).

MST Motorsports has been family-owned since 2004, working out of 987 S 1900 East in Washington, Utah — minutes from Sand Hollow and convenient to St George, Hurricane, Santa Clara, Ivins, La Verkin, Leeds, and Virgin. Our technicians are ASE-certified, including ASE Master certification on staff, with factory training through Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Polaris, and Can-Am programs.

What ties this work together is not a badge on the grille. It is geometry, load, heat, and honest inspection. A three-quarter-ton pickup on 37s, a Sasquatch Bronco, a built Wrangler, and a 4Runner headed for the backcountry all need the same disciplines applied correctly — and that is what this shop does.

Most maintenance is done same-day or next-day. Bigger builds are measured in days, not weeks, with a timeline up front.

    Suspension &Lift Work

Lift and leveling kits, coilovers, springs, upper control arms, track bars, and shock packages — installed with attention to the parts of the job that get skipped elsewhere. Brake line clearance, bump stop setup, driveline angles, and hardware torque are part of the work, not an afterthought.

We rebuild shocks in house — Fox, King, Elka, and Walker Evans — disassembled, cleaned, re-sealed, re-valved when requested, and nitrogen-charged on site. That applies to a UTV shock and a truck coilover alike. See lift kit installation and lifts and suspension for packages and options.

    Post-Lift Alignment onHunter Equipment

Every ride height change and every tire size change ends with an alignment. We run Hunter Hawkeye Elite alignment equipment and Hunter Road Force balancing, and we set specifications for the vehicle as it actually sits rather than reading off a stock factory sheet.

On independent front suspension trucks and SUVs that means camber, caster, and toe together. On solid-axle Jeeps it means caster through adjustable control arms plus track bar correction and thrust angle. Road Force balancing is where most highway vibration complaints on heavy off-road tires get solved. More on the alignment service and lifted truck alignment pages.

    Steering &Drivetrain

Bigger tires and more articulation load steering and driveline components harder than the factory ever planned for. We service tie rod ends, drag links, steering boxes and racks, ball joints, wheel bearings, and sway bar links, and we handle steering upgrades for rigs that have outgrown the stock hardware.

On the drivetrain side that means transfer case and differential fluid service, u-joints and driveshaft angles, locker function, and four-wheel drive engagement diagnostics — including vacuum-actuated hub systems on late-model Fords. Platform-specific detail lives on our Jeep Wrangler service and Ford Bronco service pages.

    Cooling forDesert Use

Crawling in July is the hardest thing you can ask of a cooling system: maximum engine load, minimum airflow. Towing to the trailhead and then working the vehicle hard in the heat compounds it.

We service and repair radiators, cooling fans and fan clutches, thermostats, water pumps, hoses, and coolant on trucks, Jeeps, Broncos, and SUVs. Tell us how the vehicle is used — towing, heavy build, big tires — and we will evaluate the system against that duty cycle rather than a commuter assumption.

    Trail-ReadinessInspections

Before a weekend at Sand Hollow, a run through Hurricane Cliffs, or a trip out past Virgin and Leeds, we go through the vehicle end to end: front-end play, ball joints and bushings, steering components, shock condition and mounting hardware, brakes, driveline angles and u-joints, tire condition and pressures, fluids, and cooling.

You get the findings as a digital inspection with photos sent to your phone, and you decide what to address. Book a week out and there is room to fix anything we find before you load the trailer.

    Maintenance forModified Vehicles

A lifted rig on oversized tires is not a stock vehicle with taller springs. Wear patterns change, steering and driveline components carry more load, brakes work harder, and the inspection priorities shift. We maintain modified 4x4s as normal work — oil and fluids, brakes, cooling, diagnostics — with the inspection focus set for how the vehicle is actually built.

Auto repair and maintenance is backed by our 36-month / 36,000-mile workmanship warranty on parts and labor. Full detail on maintenance for lifted and modified vehicles.

Start with your platform hub — Jeep services, Bronco services, or truck services. We are open Mon–Fri: 8:00am – 5:00pm with shuttle service, after-hours drop-off and pickup, two-way texting, and online booking 24/7. Financing is available through Acima, Affirm, Klarna, and Sunbit. Frequently AskedQuestions

Do you only work on Jeeps and Broncos, or on other 4x4s too?

All of them. Off-road capability is not one brand. We build, align, and maintain 4x4s of every kind — Jeep, Bronco, lifted trucks, and off-road SUVs including 4Runner, Land Cruiser, Grand Cherokee, and more. Half-ton and three-quarter-ton pickups running 35s and 37s are just as much a part of the daily work here as solid-axle Wranglers.

Why does a 4x4 need an alignment after a lift or leveling kit?

Because changing ride height changes suspension geometry. On an independent front suspension you move camber, caster, and toe all at once. On a solid axle you move caster and thrust angle and shift the axle sideways relative to the frame. Either way, the result of skipping alignment is wandering, poor return to center, bump steer, and tire wear that destroys an expensive set of tires early. We align on Hunter Hawkeye Elite equipment and Road Force balance the tires.

What is Road Force balancing and why does it matter on off-road tires?

A standard spin balance only corrects weight distribution. Road Force balancing applies a loaded roller against the tire to simulate the road, which reveals stiffness variation in the tire and how the tire and wheel are matched to each other. Heavy, aggressive off-road tires vary more than street tires do, so this is where most highway vibration complaints on 35s and 37s actually get solved.

Do you rebuild shocks in house?

Yes. Fox, King, Elka, and Walker Evans shocks are disassembled, cleaned, re-sealed, re-valved when requested, and nitrogen-charged on site. It is not outsourced, which is why turnaround is measured in days rather than the weeks a mail-in service usually takes.

Will modifications void the maintenance work you do?

No. We maintain lifted and modified vehicles as normal work, and auto repair and maintenance is backed by our 36-month / 36,000-mile workmanship warranty on parts and labor. What changes on a modified rig is the inspection focus — driveline angles, u-joints, steering component wear, ball joints, brake capacity relative to tire size, and cooling under load all deserve more attention than on a stock vehicle.

What should I have checked before a weekend at Sand Hollow?

A trail-readiness inspection covers front-end play, ball joints and bushings, steering components, shock condition and mounting hardware, brakes, driveline angles and u-joints, tire condition and pressures, fluids, and cooling. You get the findings as a photo-documented digital inspection and decide what to address. Booking a check a week ahead leaves room to fix anything we find.

Does desert heat require anything different from a 4x4 cooling system?

It requires the system to actually be in good condition, because low-speed trail work in summer means high engine load with very little airflow through the radiator. We service and repair radiators, fans and fan clutches, thermostats, water pumps, hoses, and coolant. If you tow or run a heavy build, mention it and we will evaluate the system for that duty cycle.

How long does 4x4 work take?

Most maintenance is done same-day or next-day. Bigger jobs — lift kits, suspension builds, and full 4x4 setups — are measured in days, not weeks, and you get a timeline before we start. We offer shuttle service, after-hours drop-off and pickup, two-way texting, and online booking 24/7.
