MST Motorsports ("MST Motorsports," "we," "us," or "our") operates mstmotorsports.com and provides automotive and powersports repair, maintenance, and custom work from our shop at 987 S 1900 East, Washington, UT 84780. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us directly. When you contact us, request an appointment, apply for a job, or enroll in MST Rewards, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, mailing address, vehicle information, and any details you include in a message. Job applicants may also provide a resume and work history.
- Information about your vehicle and service. When we service a vehicle we record the vehicle's details, the work requested and performed, inspection findings and photographs, and your service history with us.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar usage data through cookies and similar technologies. The tools we use for this are Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta Pixel.
- Text message information. If you opt in to receive text messages from us, we collect your mobile number and your record of consent, along with the messages sent and received.
How we use your information
- To schedule, perform, and follow up on vehicle service
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support
- To send appointment reminders, service updates, and vehicle status
- To operate MST Rewards and tell you about offers, specials, and promotions where you have asked to hear from us
- To review employment applications
- To maintain our records, protect against fraud, and comply with the law
- To understand how our website is used and improve it
- To show you our own advertising on other platforms, and to reach people similar to our customers
Mobile information and text message consent
We do not sell your personal information.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or our messaging platform, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your consent to receive text messages from MST Motorsports is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their own marketing.
When we share information
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers. Companies that perform work on our behalf — website hosting, our shop management and booking system, our text messaging platform, analytics, and payment processing. They may use the information only to provide those services to us.
- Advertising platforms. We may share your email address with Google and Meta in a secure, hashed form so that we can show our own ads to our customers, and reach new people who resemble them. These platforms process this information on our behalf for our advertising only. We do not share your phone number for this purpose, and we do not provide this information for their own marketing.
- Parts suppliers and warranty administrators. When needed to source parts or process a warranty claim on your vehicle.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MST Motorsports, our customers, or others.
- Business transfer. If MST Motorsports is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, to understand how the site is used, and to measure our advertising. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you disable them.
The specific tools we use are Google Analytics, which tells us how many people visit and which pages they read; Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymized usage patterns so we can see where the site is confusing; and the Meta Pixel, which lets us measure whether our advertising works and show ads to people who have already visited this site. Our booking system, provided by our shop management platform, also sets cookies when you open the booking window.
These advertising and analytics partners receive information about your visit, such as the pages you viewed and general device information, and may combine it with information they already hold. We do not receive your name, email address or phone number from them, and we do not pay them for personal information about you.
Advertising
We may show ads on Google and on Meta's platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, to people who have visited our website. This is called interest-based advertising. It is based on pages you viewed on this site, not on anything you told us.
You can limit this. Meta's ad preferences are at facebook.com/adpreferences and Google's are at myadcenter.google.com. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies, and both iOS and Android offer a device-level setting to limit ad tracking.
We may also match our existing customer list to these platforms. If you have given us your email address, we may provide it in hashed form so we can show our own ads to customers we already serve, or find new customers who resemble them. To be excluded from this, email us at contact@mstmotorsports.com and we will remove you.
None of this applies to text message consent data. Your mobile number and your record of consent to receive text messages are never used for advertising, never shared with advertising partners, and never sold. That is covered separately in the section on mobile information and text message consent above.
Your choices
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. See our Terms & Conditions for details.
- Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us.
- Access and deletion. Contact us to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion. We may need to keep certain service and financial records to comply with the law.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide service, maintain your vehicle's service history, and meet our legal, tax, and warranty obligations.
Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
