Auto Repair for Cars, Trucks & SUVs in Washington, Utah

Auto Repair in Washington UT — Serving St George, Hurricane, Ivins & Southern Utah

    MST Motorsports credentials

MST Motorsports provides auto repair and maintenance for cars, SUVs, minivans and trucks, stock or modified, import or domestic. Engine diagnostics, brake service, cooling system repair, steering repair, fluid services and preventative maintenance are the everyday work here. Suspension builds, lift work and off-road truck service are the specialty layered on top, in the same building and the same bays as the car in the driveway.

Our technicians are factory trained master mechanics. The collective knowledge of the professionals at MST Motorsports is over eighty years of automotive, auto repair, maintenance, customizing and accessory knowledge combined. The same techs who build and modify vehicles here are the ones handling your maintenance, so that factory training comes with a family-owned shop serving Southern Utah since 2020. Owner Brian Willison has owned automotive repair shops since 2004 and worked in the trade since 2002.

The everyday work is the same work whatever you drive: a commuter sedan, a minivan, a crossover, a family SUV, a work truck. Every repair gets the same process, from a routine oil change to a complex drivability diagnosis: proper diagnostics, parts, and a documented result. The shop is equipped for it — OEM factory-level scan tools on the automotive side, Hunter Hawkeye Elite alignment, and a Hunter Road Force balancer for vibration a standard spin balance can't solve. We road force balance tires in the shop. If your vehicle is covered by a third-party extended warranty or vehicle service contract, we handle extended warranty repair work here as well — we diagnose the vehicle, document the findings, and submit the claim to your provider. Towing, highway miles, off-road recreation and Southern Utah heat and dust are conditions we account for in the service schedule, not a requirement for coming in.

The same shop that maintains your daily driver also builds and services lifted trucks, Jeeps and Broncos — from leveling kits and suspension geometry to shock rebuilds and Hunter Hawkeye Elite alignment. Whether your vehicle is stock or modified, MST covers it from bumper to bumper. You can schedule car service online or call the shop.

    Engine Diagnostics & Repair

Check engine lights, rough idle, reduced power, misfires, and unusual noises all start with proper diagnostics. We use scan tools to read fault codes, live data, and freeze frame information — but codes are just the starting point, which is why a check engine light tells you a circuit is unhappy rather than which part failed. We verify the actual fault with circuit testing, pressure testing, and visual inspection before recommending any repairs. The same applies to starting faults: a single click, rapid clicking and cranking that never fires each point at a different component, so we test the battery, starter and charging circuit before replacing anything.

We service gas and diesel engines across all the major truck and SUV platforms — Ford EcoBoost and Power Stroke, Chevy LS and Duramax, Ram Hemi and Cummins, and Toyota engines. Whether it's a turbo issue on a Raptor, a fuel system concern on a Duramax, or a drivability problem on a daily-driven Tacoma, we diagnose it correctly and repair it right.

    Brake Repair & Service

Brakes are a safety system, and we treat them that way. We perform complete brake diagnostics and service including pad and rotor replacement, caliper service, brake fluid flush, brake line inspection, and parking brake adjustment. For trucks that tow, we pay special attention to brake capacity and heat management — towing loads through Southern Utah's terrain puts significant demand on the brake system.

Off-road vehicles need brake attention too. Sand, dust, and water intrusion contaminate caliper slides and degrade pad material. If your brakes feel spongy, noisy, or less effective than they used to be, don't wait — bring it in for an inspection.

    Cooling System Diagnostics & Repair

Southern Utah summers push cooling systems hard. Sustained desert heat combined with towing or slow-speed off-road crawling can overwhelm a cooling system that isn't maintained properly. We see overheating issues on trucks, Jeeps, and Broncos regularly during the summer months — often caused by a combination of low coolant, degraded hoses, failing thermostats, or clogged radiators. When the temperature gauge climbs — under load on a grade, or sitting still at a stoplight — points toward different parts of the system.

We perform complete cooling system diagnostics and service including pressure testing, thermostat replacement, radiator inspection and flush, hose replacement, water pump service, and coolant flush and fill. For vehicles that tow or see sustained off-road use, proactive cooling system maintenance is one of the most important things you can do to prevent expensive engine damage.

    Vehicles We Commonly Service

Any make and model comes through the shop. These are the platforms we see most often in Southern Utah, and each has a page with the platform-specific detail:

    • Ford F-150, Ranger, Raptor, Super Duty, Explorer, Expedition and Bronco
    • Chevy Silverado, Colorado, Tahoe and Suburban
    • GMC Sierra and Canyon

The work covers the vehicles Southern Utah drives every day: sedans and crossovers on the school run, minivans and SUVs on family duty, trucks that tow, and the Jeeps and Broncos that share the same driveways.

Any Make and Model — Cars & SUVs

MST services any make and model, import or domestic — sedans, hatchbacks, minivans, crossovers and SUVs — for maintenance, brake service, alignment, cooling and engine diagnostics. A daily driver gets the same diagnostic process and workmanship as the truck fleet.

    Auto Repair FAQs

Sedans, minivans, crossovers and SUVs come through the same bays as the trucks. Oil changes, brake service, engine diagnostics, cooling and suspension work are all part of the day, stock or modified.

Any make and model, import or domestic — cars, SUVs, minivans and trucks. Trucks, Jeeps and Broncos are a specialty on top of that, not the limit of it.

Yes. We service Duramax, Power Stroke, and Cummins diesel engines — oil changes, fuel system service, EGR and DPF maintenance, injector diagnostics, and performance upgrades.

Yes, and it works both directions. Keys go in through the drop box at our Washington UT facility, sealed in an envelope with your name, vehicle and what the vehicle is doing. Keys come back out of a separate pickup box using a personalized PIN that we issue once the invoice is paid, so you can collect the vehicle outside our Mon–Fri 8:00am – 5:00pm hours. The after-hours drop-off page walks through both halves step by step.

We're an independent, family-owned repair shop — not a dealership. You get a quote before work begins and technicians who know your vehicle. We work on all major brands and platforms.

For vehicles driven in Southern Utah conditions, we recommend oil changes every 5,000–7,500 miles (or per manufacturer recommendation), brake inspections every 15,000–20,000 miles, and a comprehensive inspection annually. Desert heat, dust, and stop-and-go driving accelerate wear on fluids, filters, and brake components.

    We're located at 987 S 1900 East, Washington, UT 84780 — just off SR-9 near the intersection with S 1900 E, accessible from I-15 Exit 13.

Yes. Any car, SUV or truck you are buying in the Washington/St George area can come in for a pre-purchase inspection. It identifies issues before you commit. Call to schedule.

Service is performed in-shop at 987 S 1900 East. If your vehicle can't make it in on its own, we'll help you coordinate with a local tow company. Once it's here, we diagnose, call you with findings, and get you a clear estimate before any work begins.
