MST Motorsports equipment in Washington, Utah includes a Hunter HawkEye Elite alignment rack, a Hunter Road Force balancer, OEM factory scan tools for Polaris and Can-Am, and a shock bench for teardown, reseal, re-valve and nitrogen recharge. Diagnostic Scan Tools
For powersports diagnostics, MST Motorsports runs OEM factory scan tools for Polaris and Can-Am, which provide factory-level access to live ECU data, calibration and service routines, and fault information that generic OBD scanners cannot reach on a side-by-side. When a Maverick, X3, RZR, Ranger or General comes in with a check engine light or a driveability concern, our technicians read what the machine is reporting.

Alignment Bay
Our alignment bay runs a top-of-the-line Hunter Hawkeye Elite, an imaging-based system that measures camber, caster, toe, thrust angle and ride height on stock vehicles and on lifted trucks and modified Jeeps. Aftermarket suspension changes the alignment geometry, and Southern Utah's washboard roads and I-15 miles wear tires quickly when a lifted truck is out of specification. Precise measurement is what returns a lifted vehicle to correct alignment.

Tire Mounting & Road Force Balancing
We road force balance tires in the shop. Road force balancing on the Hunter Road Force balancer identifies vibration that a standard spin balance cannot, because a balanced assembly can still be out of round. The machine presses a load roller against the spinning tire to simulate the weight of the vehicle on the road and measures the force the assembly transmits through the rotation.
- Match-mounting fixes it mechanically rather than masking it — the tire's high spot is positioned against the wheel's low spot so the two cancel.
- It catches a bent wheel or an out-of-round tire before it goes on the vehicle — the machine measures rim runout and identifies an out-of-round assembly.
- Smooth at low speed and at highway speed on I-15, because force variation is measured across the full speed range.
- Longer, more even tire life on the larger truck and off-road tires common in Southern Utah.
- Fewer return visits for vibration, because the assembly is centered and measured under load rather than only spun in the air.
- Protection for wheel bearings, tie rod ends and bushings, which wear faster under steady wheel vibration.
Our tire bay is built around the Hunter Road Force balancer, which measures the tire and wheel as an assembly under load. Stiff spots, slight out-of-round conditions and tire-to-wheel mismatch are common in larger truck and off-road tires, and those are the conditions a standard spin balance cannot correct.
The Road Force machine presses a large load roller against the spinning tire to simulate the weight of the vehicle on the road. It measures the force the tire and wheel assembly transmits through the suspension and indicates how to position the tire on the wheel to cancel the high spot, for the smoothest ride the tire and wheel can deliver together.

The Facility
The MST Motorsports facility in Washington, Utah is a clean, modern auto shop facility with bays, lifts and workspace sized for a full-size lifted diesel, a stock daily-driver SUV, a Jeep Wrangler on 37-inch tires and a Bronco. Polaris, Can-Am and Kawasaki UTVs are serviced in the same facility, with an in-house shock bench for Fox, King, Elka and Walker Evans. The shop is minutes from St. George, Hurricane and Sand Hollow.
