    The MST Approach

MST Motorsports provides scheduled maintenance on OEM and performance-spec intervals for drivers in Washington, St George and Hurricane, documented digitally with photos and recorded to your vehicle's history. Our guide to what a brake squeal, grind or pedal pulse means covers the symptoms drivers notice first on Southern Utah grades.

Every fluid, filter and part is matched to the correct specification for your vehicle and how you use it. For platform-specific intervals, the sixth-gen Bronco is covered in our Ford Bronco maintenance schedule, the Bronco Sport in our Bronco Sport service interval guide, and the Wrangler in our Jeep Wrangler maintenance schedule.

    Vehicle-Specific Maintenance Schedules

Truck maintenance schedules for Ford Super Duty, Ram Cummins and Duramax, along with Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco schedules, each with a Southern Utah adjustment, are on our Manufacturer Recommended Maintenance hub.

    Core Maintenance Services

    Oil Change & Filter

Full-synthetic, high-mileage or diesel-spec oil change service matched to your vehicle and Southern Utah driving conditions.

    Fluid Services

Coolant, brake fluid, power steering, differential and transfer case fluid service on OEM intervals, adjusted for Southern Utah heat and towing.

    Belt & Hose Inspection

Serpentine belts, timing components, radiator hoses, and vacuum lines checked for cracking, glazing, and heat damage.

    Air Filter & Fuel Filter

Engine air and fuel filter service, because dust and sand shorten filter life in Southern Utah.

    Battery & Charging System

Load-tested battery, tested alternator output, and checked ground straps and terminals for corrosion.

    Tire Rotation & Balance

Rotation on schedule, balance when needed, and pressure checked to spec — critical for tire life and fuel economy in Utah heat.

Belts, Hoses & Battery Terminal Service

    Serpentine Belts, Tensioners & Idlers

Serpentine belts, tensioners and idlers are inspected for cracking, glazing and rib separation and replaced with OE-quality parts, because a failed belt takes power steering, charging and cooling with it.

    Timing Belts & Chains

Timing belts are replaced on the manufacturer interval, with the water pump where it sits behind the belt, because a broken belt on an interference engine common to Honda and Toyota platforms and older diesels causes serious internal damage. Timing chains, tensioners and guides are serviced together when long crank or misfire codes point to stretch.

Coolant, Heater & Power Steering Hoses

Coolant, heater, bypass and power steering hoses are inspected at every service and pressure tested where needed, because a hose failure in summer highs above 100°F is a roadside breakdown.

    Battery Terminals & Corrosion

Battery terminals are cleaned and treated alongside the load test and charging-system check. Heat shortens battery life here: standard batteries that last 4-5 years nationally run 2.5-3.5 years in Southern Utah, and AGM batteries 3-4 years. We recommend annual battery testing from year two.

    Southern Utah Conditions

Heat, dust, sand and trail use accelerate wear, so a Sand Hollow daily driver or a truck that tows in July heat needs maintenance recommendations tuned to actual conditions.

Summer loads the cooling system, fluids and battery, and cold mornings stress the oil, battery capacity and tire pressure. Our winter maintenance checks for Utah cold starts cover one side of the year, and the summer heat checklist covers the other.

A 50+ point courtesy digital vehicle inspection with photos and video is included with your service or repair.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I change oil in Southern Utah's heat?

More frequently than the manufacturer minimum if you tow, drive off-road or run in extreme heat. We recommend 5,000-mile oil change intervals for most trucks in Southern Utah conditions.

Does a lifted or modified truck need anything extra at a service?

Yes. Aftermarket suspension, wheels and bolt-on components are inspected alongside the factory schedule, and the details are on our maintenance page for lifted and modified vehicles.

Can MST track my maintenance history?

Yes. Every service is documented digitally, so your vehicle's full history is available for fleet maintenance records, pre-sale documentation and upcoming service intervals.

    What's included in a major 60,000-mile service?

A 60,000-mile major service includes oil and fluid service, belt and hose inspection, air and fuel filter replacement, battery and brake inspection, tire rotation and a digital vehicle inspection with photos.

When should I replace my serpentine belt?

Between 60,000 and 90,000 miles for most vehicles, or sooner if inspection shows cracking, glazing or rib chunking, because Southern Utah heat and UV shorten belt life. We inspect belts at every service visit.

What happens if a timing belt breaks?

On an interference engine, common on Honda and Toyota platforms and older diesels, a broken timing belt lets the pistons hit open valves and causes serious engine damage. Replacement on the manufacturer interval avoids that, and we replace the water pump at the same time where it sits behind the belt.
