    UTV Suspension Repair & Service

A-Arm, Ball Joint, Bearing & Suspension Component Service for All Powersports Platforms

MST Motorsports provides comprehensive UTV suspension repair and service in Washington, Utah, for riders across St George and Southern Utah. Our factory-trained, certified technicians bring more than 80 years of combined experience, and the terrain at Sand Hollow, Warner Valley and the surrounding desert is what puts ball joints, bearings, A-arms and radius rods under load. Machines come to us from across Washington County — Washington, St. George, Hurricane, Ivins, Santa Clara, La Verkin and Leeds — minutes from the Sand Hollow gate.

From worn ball joints and damaged A-arms to failed bearings and bent radius rods, our technicians diagnose and repair suspension faults across Polaris, Can-Am and Kawasaki platforms. Identifying the root cause of a handling change is what makes the repair hold.

A-Arm & Control Arm Service in Washington County

A-arms (control arms) connect the chassis to the wheel hubs and set suspension geometry through travel, which is why rock impacts, hard landings and rollovers are what bend or crack them. Normal trail use gradually wears the bushings and pivot points.

We inspect A-arms for straightness, bushing wear and structural integrity, install OEM or aftermarket replacements, and verify suspension geometry afterward. A machine that has been through a crash or a significant impact gets that inspection before it returns to the trail.

Ball Joints, Bearings & Tie Rod Ends

Ball joints, wheel bearings and tie rod ends are the pivot and load-bearing points that let the suspension move while holding alignment. Desert sand and dust get past the seals and contaminate the grease that protects them.

Clunking over bumps, a loose steering feel, and a hum or grind that changes with speed are the usual signs, and worn tie rod ends also shift alignment settings. We replace these components and verify proper operation after installation.

    Radius Rods & Trailing Arms

Radius rods, called trailing arms on some platforms, control the fore-and-aft position of the rear suspension, and even a slightly bent rod changes handling, tire wear and alignment. They bend most often on machines that have hit an obstacle at speed or rolled.

We measure radius rods for straightness and replace them with OEM or upgraded aftermarket components, including heavy-duty rods for machines used in demanding terrain.

    Suspension Setup & Geometry Correction

After any suspension repair, component replacement or modification, MST Motorsports verifies the setup — ride height measurement, alignment setting, shock preload adjustment and an overall geometry check — so the components work together as designed.

On machines with aftermarket suspension or lift kits, we confirm that the modified geometry keeps CV joints and steering components inside their working range. Proper setup after a modification is what protects those parts and keeps handling predictable on the trail.

    Common Suspension Symptoms

If your machine is doing any of these, it's time for a suspension inspection:

    • • Clunking, clicking, or popping over bumps
    • • Loose or wandering steering
    • • Uneven or rapid tire wear
    • • Vibration at speed
    • • Visible play in components when rocked by hand
    • • Rear end kicking out or front pushing through turns
    • • Grinding or humming that changes with speed
    • • Bump steer after impacts or crashes

Diagnosis comes first, so the repair addresses the component that actually changed the handling. Suspension repairs that affect alignment include a post-repair alignment check before the machine leaves the shop.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my UTV needs suspension repair?

Clunking or popping over bumps, loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear, and visible play when a wheel is rocked by hand all point to suspension wear. If your side-by-side handles differently than it used to — especially after a hard ride or an impact — have the suspension inspected.

How often should UTV suspension components be inspected?

For UTVs used in Southern Utah desert conditions, we recommend suspension inspection every 40–60 hours of operation. Sand, dust, and rocky terrain accelerate wear on bearings, bushings, and ball joints. Machines used primarily at Sand Hollow may benefit from more frequent inspection.

Can you install aftermarket suspension components on my UTV?

Yes. We install aftermarket A-arms, long-travel kits, tie rods, radius rods and other suspension upgrades, and we verify fitment, geometry and alignment after any suspension modification.

Do you offer UTV alignment service?

Yes. We provide UTV alignment service to correct toe, camber, and caster settings — especially important after suspension component replacement, crash repair, or lift kit installation. Visit our UTV alignment page for more details.

What UTV suspension brands do you work with?

We work with OEM and aftermarket suspension components including parts from SuperATV, High Lifter, Zbroz, Race Rhino, and other manufacturers. For shock service specifically, we handle Fox, King, Elka, and Walker Evans in-house.
