AC diagnostics and leak detection at MST Motorsports identify whether low refrigerant from a leak, a failed compressor or restricted airflow across the condenser or evaporator is the cause before any repair begins. Each looks different on the gauges, and in Southern Utah's summer heat a marginal system fails on the hottest days when it is needed most.

The diagnosis includes a nitrogen pressure test, UV dye and electronic leak detection, and checks of compressor clutch engagement, discharge pressure and cooling fan operation, so the refrigerant charge that follows holds.

Compressor, condenser and component replacement covers compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, accumulators and high- and low-side hoses when the diagnosis points to a failed part. Every install includes a full evacuation, vacuum hold test, the correct compressor oil for the platform and a refrigerant charge measured by weight, which is what keeps a truck air conditioning system cooling through a Southern Utah summer.

Our shop is equipped with a recovery machine, vacuum pump, manifold gauges and an electronic charging scale for both R-134a and R-1234yf systems.

Heater core and climate control repair at MST Motorsports covers the full HVAC system, including the blend door actuators, thermostats, heater cores and low-coolant conditions that leave a truck blowing cold or ambient air. That includes diesel heater repair for tow vehicles and work trucks that start before dawn on cold desert mornings.

Heater core replacement on most modern trucks is dash-out work, so the blower motor, control head and mode doors are inspected during the same repair to avoid a second dash removal later.
